Ground instrumentation service

A set of technical rooms and high-level implements allows ground-based programs to develop, integrate and calibrate instruments designed for large telescopes such as TBL, CFHT and ESO.

Two of the five technical rooms feature optical benches, and a third one hosts a class-10,000 clean tent. Devices include:

  • electronics: analyzer;
  • mechanics: small numerical-command milling machine;
  • optics: wavefront analyzer, infrared monochromator, filters;
  • chemistry: fume hood.
